Mycaela Vandervoort, Canadian Certified Pedorthist and owner of Prairie Peak Orthotics & Bracing. Originally from Steinbach, Manitoba, Mycaela completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology – Athletic Therapy at the University of Manitoba before moving to Victoria, British Columbia. She completed her Diploma in Pedorthics through Western University and began her career in pedorthics, developing her clinical experience working with a diverse range of patients and lower-limb conditions. After several years on the West Coast, she returned home to Manitoba and opened Prairie Peak Orthotics & Bracing to provide pedorthic care within her local community.
Mycaela has experience working alongside orthopaedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals, providing custom foot orthotics, footwear recommendations, and both custom and off-the-shelf bracing. She takes a personalized approach to care, using biomechanical and gait assessments to better understand each patient’s individual needs and help them move more comfortably and confidently.
